2018’s Packet Pickup Party took place at Market SW in partnership with the Southwest Business Improvement District. All participants must get their packets PRIOR to Saturday, May 18, the day of the event, so you’re invited to come celebrate life on two wheels with us at the Packet Pickup Party! The 2019 Packet Pickup Party location is TBD.

You must pickup your Rider Identification Kit (RIK) at the Packet Pickup Party. There will not be packet pickup available the morning of the event.

When: Thursday, May 16 from 3pm to 7pm; Friday, May 17 from 11am to 7pm

The RIK consists of a paper bib number you must pin to the front of your shirt, a helmet sticker you must stick to the front of your helmet, and a bicycle top tube sticker you must place on your bike for the day of the event. All participants must have their RIK in place in order to enter the start corrals at the event.

All riders (standard registration, youth registration and VIP registration, as well as standard or youth with packet mailing) receive a limited edition 2019 DC Bike Ride water bottle. Stop by the Packet Pickup Party to get your Rider Identification Kit and your water bottle.

Having your packet mailed? Registrants who purchased packet mailing can pick up their rider water bottle at the Info/Solutions tent at the Finish Festival.

CAN’T ATTEND PACKET PICKUP?: If you’re not able to attend the Packet Pickup Party, then you must assign a proxy to get your packet for you at packet pickup. There will *NOT* be packet pickup the morning of the event.

Assign a Proxy:
You may send a proxy to pick up your packet (can be another rider or a non-rider). Your proxy can only get your packet if they have a photo or a photocopy of your photo ID. We cannot give your proxy your packet without the photo ID.

Here’s what your proxy needs:

  • A photo or photocopy of each riders’ photo ID (a passport is okay too)
  • A proxy does not need an ID for a Youth Rider or Ride-Along (under 18)
