Hey, DCBR Riders!

The weather has been amazing and we couldn’t resist going out to enjoy it for a little bit. One of our (amazing rock-star) interns, Matt, did an impromptu course preview last week and he wanted to share “Matt’s Bike Adventure” with you!

Course Tour 1

Stop 1: Start and Finish Line

A view of the Capitol Building and the Botanical Garden near the Start/Finish Line before mile-marker 1.

Matt couldn’t get to the exact location of the Start and Finish Line (Because of the cars. Don’t worry…you won’t have any issues the day of!)

Course Tour 2

Stop 2: The Wharf

A view of the Waterfront near mile-markers 2 & 15. A bit too cold for a swim at the moment!

Course Tour 3

Stop 3: Virginia Avenue

A view of the beautiful scenery surrounding the course route on Virginia Avenue near mile-marker 4.

Course Tour 4

Stop 4: Jose de San Martin Memorial

Matt posing next to the General José de San Martín Memorial on Virginia Ave near mile-marker 4.

Fun fact: José de San Martín was an argentine general and is considered as one of the Liberators of Spanish South America.

Course Tour 5

Stop 5: National Museum of African American History

A view of the soon-to-be-opened National Museum of African American History and Culture near mile-marker 10.

Course Tour 6

Stop 6: Washington Monument

A view of the Washington Monument near mile-marker 10. Matt was a bit disappointed that he wasn’t able to wear a powered wig.

We hope you enjoyed the course sneak peak! We look forward to seeing you on May 22.

P.S. If you have friends and family who haven’t signed up, tell them there’s still time. Don’t let them miss out on this awesome ride!
